Hakea laurina x petiolaris  ‘Pin Ball’

The top image is of the flower cluster and below that is the plant which is only about 3 years old. It has masses of flowers in May but very attractive leaves, particularly with the light shining through them all year.

It is a tall shrub or small tree with leathery green to bluish green leaves. Ball like red flowers with creamy white styles are produced from autumn to winter. Useful for screening and the flowers attract nectar feeding birds. Grow in a sunny open spot. Height 3.5 – 5m high x 3-10m wide. Prune well.
