Eremophila mackinlayii subsp. spathulata is a spectacular dense shrub (1.5m X 1.5m) with grey green leaves and large purple flowers in clusters at the terminal ends of the stems. This plant seems to flower for a number of months. While many of the grey leaved Eremophilas are hard to grow in Canberra, this one seems to do very well in full sun in quite well drained soil. It has been through several winters and seem frost resistant.
